Vaccine and Testing Info.

To schedule an appointment for a vaccine or any of our testing services including being tested for COVID-19 at The Medicine Store, Basehor, first click the red “Click Here schedule an appointment” link on our homepage.

All vaccine appointment slots will only be for 5 minutes, but you will be required to stay in the pharmacy for 15 minutes after your appointment time to be monitored by our staff. If you are scheduling for a COVID-19 vaccine, be sure you have read all of the information we have below.

Appointments for both rapid antigen and PCR COVID-19 testing are also available by clicking the red link on the home page. Only 1 appointment per vehicle is necessary. So, if more than one person is coming with you to be tested, schedule the appointment for just one of the people that will be in the vehicle and one of the prompts during the scheduling process will ask you how many people will be with you to be tested in your vehicle. We only open appointments for this service a few days in advance, since we are not always sure how many tests we will have in stock from the state. Also, be sure to schedule for the correct type of COVID-19 test you want to receive (PCR or rapid antigen test). We are a community testing partner with the state of Kansas. This means the State is funding this program, and, therefore, we are able to offer these tests at no out-of-pocket cost to ANYONE in the public regardless of type of insurance one may have. The State is currently funding both types of tests.  In addition to the testing we do through our drive through by appointment, we are also able to bill most insurances including Medicare for up to 8 at-home COVID-19 tests per person per month. Stop by anytime and we can see if OTC tests are covered by your insurance.

Once you have chosen the appointment type you would like to schedule, you will then choose a date and time for your appointment and continue following the prompts until you get a confirmation.  You should also receive a confirmation email (check your inbox and junk mail). If you do not receive the confirmation email, please give us a call and we can confirm the appointment over the phone for you. Thank you and we look forward to meeting with you!

If you schedule an appointment for a vaccine, there is an immunization screening and consent form that needs to be filled out. Click the link below to print off the form. There is a one form for the COVID-19 vaccine and a second form for all other vaccines. If you are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and another vaccine at the same appointment, you will have to fill out both forms. If you don’t have the ability to print the form(s) out at home, we will provide the paperwork for you and you can fill it out at the pharmacy during your appointment.

If you are unable to schedule an appointment with us, we recommend checking with your local health department for vaccine availability. The Leavenworth County Health Department has been hosting several walk-in vaccination clinics. Please refer to the health department website for details regarding these clinics: https://www.leavenworthcounty.gov/information/covid-19_information/covid_list.php

We have free N95 masks available while supplies last. Please ask for your free mask(s) at the pharmacy counter when you visit the pharmacy next.

Thanks again for your support. As always, we love being a part of this community!
